Jacketed Glass reactor

The Alva Single Jacketed Glass Reactor is designed for precise control of temperature and mixing during chemical reactions. It combines an electric stirring system, condensation setup, and feeding system into a compact, versatile unit.

The single-layer glass jacket is connected to an external heating or cooling circulation device. As the material inside the vessel is stirred, the circulating medium flows through the jacket, enabling the contents to be heated or cooled at a constant and controlled temperature.

When operated under vacuum conditions (with a connected vacuum pump), the system significantly improves evaporation efficiency and allows reactions to proceed under reduced pressure. The resulting solvent vapor passes through a glass condensing coil, where it is cooled and liquefied, then refluxed back into the reactor or collected via the bottom valve of the dean-stark trap.

After the reaction is complete, the material can be conveniently discharged from the side outlet at the bottom of the reactor. The unit can be integrated with vacuum pumps and high/low-temperature circulators, forming a complete and efficient reaction system.

Basic Configuration

  • Material Contact Components: Made from high borosilicate glass (expansion coefficient 3.3) and PTFE, ensuring excellent chemical stability and corrosion resistance.

  • Frame Construction: Aluminum alloy and stainless steel structure for strength, durability, and clean aesthetics.

  • Discharge Valve: Glass + PTFE side discharge valve for easy material release and cleaning, preventing residue buildup.

  • Stirring System:

    • Low-speed, high-torque motor with frequency conversion speed regulation.

    • Digital dual-display control box showing both stirring speed and reaction temperature.

    • Ceramic bearings and mechanical seal for long service life and stable vacuum performance.

  • Temperature Sensor: PT100 stainless steel sensor, coated in transparent PTFE for double corrosion protection.

  • Vacuum Gauge: Pointer-type vacuum pressure gauge displaying real-time vacuum levels.

  • Stirring Blade: Three-layer crescent + double three-impeller paddle, made of 304 stainless steel with PTFE coating, ensuring uniform and efficient mixing.

  • Mobility: Equipped with universal casters with brakes for convenient movement and secure placement.

  • Safety: Includes fuse protection for reliable and safe operation.
